The Dandy 2nd August 1980

A strong strip which is unforgettable once seen. Though the Geordies sure wear tight socks and little caps!!

Jimmy Hughes the artist also drew Bully Beef and Chips another memorable strip.

Gordon Bell is great at facial expressions in his comic work

The Beano 4th Nov 1978

You don't need words to know what's going on in these pictures..

The variety he uses in one page is a good lesson to us all...
I'm good at doing expression in my own cartoons . I read as a kid Gordon Bell's comic work which really inspired me also the Mr Men :0) in how to do facial and body poses of many types.

Bonfire night with Valiant comic 1970!

Mike Western does a rocket theme for the fireworks issue..lI like how the moon fills the background and a lovely bright orange sky..

Ken Reid sure upped it in this one...who will destroy who?

a 3D looking fireworks ad..almost puppet like..

The only bonfire theme in the adventure stories..

Reg Parlett's the crows..

A reprint of an old Billy Bunter...not sure of the artist...please leave a comment if you know any of the artists..Thanks Lew A.J. Pease
I've been really enjoying Valiant recently and have bought a few issues now...will buy more...not too expensive on ebay...the covers as said before are ace..

Happy Bonfire night..
